OnSetStart has decided to make it platform a Non-Profit business. Starting today August 27, 2012, OnSetStart will allow its current and new members to raise money for free. This means that successful projects will be able to keep 100% of the raised money on their campaign. No Insertion fees, not fees ever policy! Why would OnSetStart make this move? A couple of days ago I was asked why did I start this business. “To be honest, the reason I started this business was because i needed this service to launch my business. I needed it and I didn’t want for big players in the industry to treat me as a statistic and just to make money out of me, they don’t care if we are successful or not! Trust me, they dont, unless they are going to use your success story for they marketing campaign, they just dont care. So I decided to take this to the next level. I will keep paying for our platform support and maintenance. No ads, no fees, from now on think of us as the people’s crowd funding platform.

Don’t Let them tell you… “you can’t get funded!”

Today’s latest way to fund your project is by crowd funding. Although there are numerous platforms for crowd funding, few adhere to the thru values of the wisdom of the crowds, According to Wikipedia, The wisdom of the crowd is the process of taking into account the collective opinion of a group of individuals rather than a single expert to answer a question. A large group’s aggregated answers to questions involving quantity estimation, general world knowledge, and spatial reasoning has generally been found to be as good as, and often better than, the answer given by any of the individuals within the group.

I have seen numerous projects been rejected by some of these sites with just one explication. ” Your project is not creative enough” way to go Kickers, Isn’t this the whole purpose of posting your project? Isn’t it the crowd the one that its suppose to judge your project by funding it or not?

It is hard work to create a project for funding, Pitch Video, Content, follow up and raising of the money. After doing all this work being told that your project is not creative enough can be tough. My recommendation for you is to stay away from those “Crowd funding” websites and go to those who value and understand the meaning of Wisdom of the crowds.
